Sport for Teaching Life Skills in South Africa
4 March 2020
A potential project has come to fruition; we have sent £802 to Helderberg Academy. Helderberg addresses a 'massive need in South Africa for the fatherless generation', by teaching life skills through the medium of sport. The money is to be used to provide prizes, equipment and kit - balls, Bibles, slalom poles, socks and boots - for holiday clubs and weekly coaching. Sports played include rugby, netball and football. Historic Croquet Match
16 August 2014
Many thanks to Tidenham History Group for donations at their annual croquet match and tea at Redwick House. Including the sum to be reclaimed under the Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme, £40 was raised for the Music in Africa Appeal. The croquet was brief and the tea indoors because the weather was so cold. Nevertheless it was a great social occasion as always, and the afternoon was over too quickly.
